About the Doc

I was born and raised in the Findlay area. I attended the University of Findlay from 2005 to 2009 and received my Bachelor of Science in Biology. I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in October of 2016.

I have 4 super cool kids. They are 14, 11, 9 and 2. My experiences with pregnancy, labor and birth before and after chiropractic school are vastly different. I would love to share my story with you!!

I love Marvel, Harry Potter (I am a Hufflepuff), Star Trek, Star Wars and anything Disney. I also enjoy Ohio State Football, running, hiking, camping, reading, gymnastics, ice skating, basketball, board games and euchre.

At Sweet Pea Chiropractic, I understand that the body has the ability to heal itself. My goal is to move any interference in the nervous system and allow the body to function at it's best.

My philosophy

I am a full-spine chiropractor. I utilize mostly Palmer Package. I use drops for the pelvis and manual adjusting for the rest of the spine on most patients. Neck adjusting can be done lying face up, face down or seated. Activator is used for babies and for muscles of adults. I do also perform light muscle work, by means of trigger point and light stretching.

Letter from the Doc

Chiropractic is so much more than relieving pain. Your nervous system controls your entire body, including the immune system. When the spine becomes misaligned, it produces inflammation that irritates the nerves and cause the corresponding areas of the body to not function optimally. Just because you do not currently have symptoms, it does not mean everything in your body is working at it's best.

A friend of mine who was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in his 20s, allowed us to do a brief experiment. He had no symptoms or complaints anywhere in his body. He took his blood sugar immediately before and a few minutes after an adjustment. His blood sugar was down roughly 40 points. The nerves to his pancreas were irritated so the pancreas was unable to function like it should and was not releasing the insulin needed to pull sugar out of the blood stream.

If you only want to come in when you are in pain, you are of course welcome, as any adjustment is better than none at all, but I encourage and hope you will consider coming even when you aren't having symptoms.  Disease processes could be starting without you even knowing about it. Once you have symptoms it is because something has already happened. Other providers will address those symptoms but not figure out and correct the cause. A symptom is your body's way of telling you something is wrong. Taking medicine for a headache is no different than painting over mold. The problem is still there, you are just hiding it. This course of action will not only ignore the problem, it will likely result in more problems.

Lots of people often blame genetics when something goes wrong with their health. Sure, genetics plays a role, but lifestyle is what triggers the genes to activate and cause issues. When I stick to my plan of a healthy lifestyle, I do not get even the common cold. I do not get headaches, I sleep well and overall feel amazing. I feel like I am 16 and I am 38.

My purpose in life is to help people.

My goal and mission is to help your family live healthier, happier lives.

I lost my dad when I was 14 to a massive heart attack. He is the reason I do what I do. No one should have to go through what I did. It is preventable. I even named my business in his memory. He used to call me Sweet Pea.

I am here for you. Anytime you have questions or need support or advice, please do not hesitate to text or call me. While the concept of living a healthy lifestyle is simple, it is not easy. It will be hard work. But I promise you, it is worth it.

Yours in health,

Dr. Karen
